FPIP Locators Come Together for a Night of Celebration and Camaraderie
First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP), one of the fastest-growing premium industrial parks in the Philippines, held its annual Locators’ Soiree on November 24, 2023, Friday, at the Consuelo Park Pavilion within the FPIP premises.
With the theme Reconnect, the soiree brought together locators, industry partners, and FPIP employees to celebrate this year’s milestones and their fruits of collaborations. It also aimed to cultivate continued support for each other and foster collaborations that would make a meaningful, positive impact not only to the industry, but also to the community and the environment.
Officially welcoming guests were FPIP Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Jose Valentin “Joval” Pantangco and Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Director General Tereso “Theo” Panga through his Chief of Staff Mr. Napoleon Ferdinand “Ton” Melendres. Mr. Melendres gave a special message, highlighting FPIP’s support to their organization in elevating the industry and making the Philippines a destination haven for foreign investors.
At present, FPIP is home to over 150 world-class locators and over 70,000 locator-employees. It recently welcomed several locators, including global tech giant Dyson, which is set to open in 2024 and is currently looking for over 400 engineers. Additionally, FPIP’s current locators are expanding and are poised to generate nearly 7,000 employment opportunities.
To continue the season of giving and gratitude, FPIP officially launched Kabuhayan, its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program that hopes to elevate community, by making a difference in and contributing to the well-being of the residents in the communities of Sto. Tomas and Tanauan, Batangas. Among its current projects are scholarship programs to aid less privileged students, job fairs to bridge employment gaps, and relief operations to help victims of disasters.
The newly-completed Consuelo Park Properties was also unveiled. These consist of Consuelo Park, a nature sanctuary; Consuelo Park Residences, a residential dormitory complex; and Consuelo Park Pavilion, a 1,400-square meter-indoor tent that is built for hosting momentous events and gatherings. All these developments were designed to enhance the convenience and accessibility of locators within the industrial park.
FPIP also stresses its commitment to elevating the environment, encouraging its guests to join them in its journey towards a regenerative and decarbonized future.
“Our earth’s resources are finite, and thus, it is crucial for our programs to be intertwined with the commitment to decarbonization and regeneration. We have tapped a number of experts in the areas of energy efficiency, resource management and environmental stewardship to help preserve and safeguard the ecosystem in the park, and to aid us in other initiatives, including shifting towards renewable energy and cutting down wastes and harmful emissions,” Pantangco said.
First held in 2022, the soiree was initiated in an effort to show FPIP’s appreciation to its locator-partners for their continuous support and trust despite the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
