FUI Launches Park-Wide Cleanup Drive
FPIP Utilities, Incorporated. (FUI), the water service arm of First Philippine Industrial Park, reaffirmed its commitment to regeneration and decarbonization by organizing Tapat ko, Linis Ko Cleanup Drive on April 11, 2025.
The cleanup drive was carried out across the two Lopez-led ecozones – First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP) and First Industrial Township (FIT) – in collaboration with the Environment, Safety and Health (ESH) units of the Association of FPIP Locators Inc. (AFLI) and FIT Locators ESH Committee (FITLEC).
The cleanup drive brought together nearly 1,100 volunteers from 93 locator companies, who collected a total of 3,829 kilograms of waste. They also carefully sorted the waste into recyclables, non-recyclables, and hazardous waste, demonstrating their commitment to proper waste management. Partner-waste haulers then ensured that the waste was either properly disposed of or recycled.
“We are grateful to members of the AFLI-ESH Committee and FITLEC for helping make this cleanup drive possible. Over the past few weeks, they dedicated their time, energy, and resources to ensure its success,” said AFLI ESH Chairman and FUI Representative Karreen Arcega.
“We also want to extend our appreciation to all locator employees for their active participation” she added, “More than just encouraging our locators to do their part in keeping our parks clean, our greater mission is to instill in them a strong sense of responsibility toward environmental protection and preservation. We urge the other members of the FPIP and FIT community to support initiatives like this.”
The Tapat Ko, Linis Ko cleanup drive is part of a series of environmental projects FUI has planned for the year. Throughout the years, it has steadily ramped up its efforts with other initiatives focused on reducing carbon emissions, using green technology for water and wastewater treatment, improving waste management, and contributing to ecosystem regeneration.
