First Philippine Holdings established FIRST College in 2018 with a vision to create a school that will deliver real-world, relevant, up-to-date, and practical technical training. The goal was to develop students whose technical training and education is truly useful to modern industries -- in a way that companies would want to hire students immediately after graduation.

First College has two goals: (1) Support the growth of companies as the strategic partner in modernizing HR and enabling the workforce of the future to thrive, and (2) uplift the lives of students through meaningful and progressive career pathways and lifelong learning.

FIRST College prepares students for a career in manufacturing and develops dual training programs with the manufacturing industry. By bringing together students and industry, First College delivers practical and innovative educational programs that respond to industry needs and trends. The school strives to be the leading science and technology education institution, offering learning solutions and talent services developed through close collaboration with industry that enable the growth and development of manufacturing in the Philippines.

It is the first college located inside an industrial park and the first to offer a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Operations and Management program in the Philippines. FIRST College is committed to cultivating graduates that have both the technical and leadership skills needed to succeed in the 21st Century workplace.
